LORG Talent is partnering with an established regional transport business to recruit a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or HGV Technician for a permanent, full-time opportunity in Western Australia, with potential locations including Karratha, Tom Price and Kalgoorlie.

The role
You will carry out diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance across a varied fleet of trucks, buses, coaches and heavy equipment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing and repairing heavy vehicles and equipment
- Completing mechanical and electrical diagnostics
- Repairing engines, transmissions, braking and suspension systems
- Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Completing breakdown repairs and fault-finding
- Maintaining accurate job cards and service records
- Working safely within regional and resources-sector environments
About you
- Australian Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic trade qualification, or equivalent international qualification
- For UK and Irish applicants: a relevant City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, IMI or equivalent qualification in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair
- Relevant post-apprenticeship experience
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working on heavy vehicles, trucks, buses, coaches or mobile equipment
- Current driver’s licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
