Lorg FLEXI Pathway
All the security of sponsorship. All the flexibility of labour hire.
Skilled, visa-sponsored workers at a fixed rate — with an exit built in if your needs change.
Labour hire keeps you flexible, but you pay a premium for it. Direct sponsorship gives you the same long-term security, but only after a large upfront cost hit before the worker's even started. Lorg Flexi gives you that same security — without the upfront cash flow hit, and with an exit built in if things change.
- Cheaper than labour hire. A fixed hourly or daily rate, with no agency margin stacked on top.
- Built for the long term. Every placement sits on a genuine sponsorship pathway, through to permanent residency, 4 + years, if you choose.
- Low-commitment to start. You're not signing up for a permanent hire on day one — bring the worker on and see how the fit plays out.
- An exit when you need one. Step away with three months'; written notice from month four, rather than being tied to the arrangement indefinitely.
THE PATHWAY
Our 6-Step Lorg Flexi Pathway
A structured process from workforce brief through to permanent residency — run jointly by Lorg Talent and AHWC Immigration Law.
Workforce Brief
01
We map the roles, headcount and skills
you need, and confirm Lorg Flexi is the
right fit.
02
Candidate Sourcing
Onshore candidates on temporary
visas, or offshore candidates eligible
for Working Holiday Visas from the UK,
Ireland, Canada and Europe.
03
Trial Placement
Your candidate starts working in your
business on a trial basis — no
sponsorship commitment yet.
04
Sponsorship Confirmation
Once the trial proves the fit, you
commit to sponsor within the agreed
timeframe — and Lorg's daily rate
begins.
Daily rate starts when the candidate
commences ongoing employment with the employer.
05
Visa & Compliance
AHWC Immigration Law manages
sponsorship, nomination and visa
lodgement in-house, end to end.
06
Ongoing Support to PR
We support employer and candidate
through to permanent residency, while
you pay one fixed rate.
We also cover the permanent residency
nomination costs — including the Skilling Australians Fund (SAF) levy — once the transitional PR process starts.
WHERE IT FITS
Built for the sectors feeling it most
TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS
Drivers & operators
Paired with a DAMA labour agreement where available: DAMA gets you access to the drivers, Lorg Flexi gets you access to them without the upfront cost.
CIVIL & ENERGY
Trades & field crews
Trial civil, energy and communications tradespeople on live projects before committing to sponsor them long term.
AGED CARE
Nursing & care staff
Source Enrolled Nurses, Registered
Nurses, Personal Care Assistants and Nursing Support Workers on trial, with a clear pathway to sponsorship and PR for the right long-term fit.
Also available across Hospitality & Tourism and Agribusiness roles — talk to us about your sector. Hospitality roles such as
cooks, chefs and venue managers are typically placed through the Lorg PALM Scheme — ask us which pathway suits your team.
THE E M PLOYER ADVANTAGE
Lorg Flexi vs. going it alone on a 482
Sponsoring directly isn't wrong — it's just expensive, risky and inflexible compared with the Flexi pathway.
| LORG FLEXI PATHWAY | TRADITIONAL SPONSORSHIP | |
|---|---|---|
| Upfront cost | Zero upfront cost Pay a daily rate billed monthly | Employer nomination fee, SAF + migration agent fees $9k-$9.5k |
| Candidate sourced | Onshore | Usually offshore |
| Proving the fit | “Try before you buy” | Often “buy before you try” |
| Lock in period | 3 months’ notice after first 3 months | Usually longer if relocating from overseas |
| If the candidate doesn’t work out | Lorg pays | Employer pays Nom fee + SAF + migration agent fees $8K - $9.5k |
COMMON MISCONCEPTION
“Doesn’t sponsoring someone mean I’m stuck with them for four years?”
Not with Lorg Flexi. If performance or your business needs change, you're not locked in: your worker can be released at any time in line with standard Fair Work requirements.
Even the Lorg Flexi fee arrangement itself runs for as little as six months, with the option to exit on three months’ written notice from month four onwards. You get the certainty of a long-term workforce pathway —without ever being trapped in one.
