LORG Talent is partnering with an established prefabrication business to recruit experienced MIG Welders for permanent, full-time opportunities in Melbourne.
You will work in a workshop environment, carrying out MIG welding and fabrication of steel components used in prefabricated construction.

The role
- Carry out MIG welding on steel components and assemblies
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and job specifications
- Measure, mark out, cut and prepare materials
- Position, align and tack components before welding
- Set up welding equipment to suit materials and job requirements
- Check weld quality, dimensions and alignment
- Complete grinding, finishing and rework where required
- Work safely and maintain a clean, organised workspace
About you
- Relevant welding or metal fabrication qualification, or demonstrated industry experience
- Previous MIG welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read fabrication drawings and work accurately to measurements
- Experience preparing, fitting and welding steel components
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
- Ability to understand work instructions and communicate effectively with the team
- Reliable approach and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safe work practices
